Artetrust

Artetrust (Artemether and Lumefantrine) is antimalarial drug commonly used in combination to treat malaria caused by certain strains of the Plasmodium parasite, including Plasmodium falciparum. These two drugs work together to effectively combat the parasite and reduce the symptoms of malaria.

Product Description:

Tablet Strengths: Artetrust tablets are available in different strengths, typically with varying ratios of the two active ingredients (Artemether and Lumefantrine). Common tablet strengths include 20/120mg and 80/180mg.

Description of Active Ingredients:

1. Artemether:  Artemether is highly effective against the asexual stages of the malaria parasite within red blood cells.

2. Lumefantrine: Lumefantrine is a synthetic compound that acts on the malaria parasite in a different way than artemether. It helps to eliminate the remaining parasites in the bloodstream after artemether has killed most of them. This combination therapy helps to reduce the risk of the parasite developing resistance to the drugs.
